Vadima House Rivière

The interior of the house was one of our favourites during our trip. It is beautifully and very personally decorated, with wooden floors and a lovely bohemian feel – not at all like a typical newly furnished Airbnb. The kitchen was very well equipped, the bedroom was lovely and the living room really comfortable. Everything felt warm, cosy and thoughtfully designed. The WiFi also worked perfectly.

The house is right next to the road, which can be quite busy at times, so you do hear the cars passing by. At other times it is completely quiet. The terrace has a nice view, but the garden itself is very dry, with almost no trees or greenery. We were also a little concerned about the turtle living in the garden, especially with so little vegetation around. We were told that the neighbour takes care of it, but it seemed very happy when we gave it some fresh vegetables – so feel free to bring some greens for this little resident! And, as seems to happen everywhere in Bosnia, a very skinny cat with two kittens also showed up regularly in the garden. They may just be local stray cats, but bringing a little cat food will definitely earn you some good karma.
