RiverView Buna - Mostar

It was easy to find via the instructions, we had space to park our truck outside, it’s right on the river Buna which has access to some waterfalls via the kayaks that are included in the stay. It’s like a home from home. We’ve never been to Bosnia but felt SO safe in this location with our children. Bed was comfortable, superbly clean, air con in each room. Lovely chance to sit out in the morning with the coffee and feed the ducks. Big plus that it’s pet friendly with no hidden fees, our dog and cat were welcomed.

I only didn’t like that we didn’t book it for longer. 1 night here was not enough. You need at least two days; one to relax at the property and kayak and another to explore the old town!

We made a round trip through Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we had very good experiences with all of our accommodation and all of our hosts. However, RiverView Buna was absolutely the best one. The house was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. It was tastefully decorated. Some chocolates and candies had been prepared to welcome us. Even more, Gaga, the owner of the house, surprised us with some delicious fresh fruit. It was such a kind gesture. You can really see and feel that Gaga wants his guests to feel at home. And that's exactly how we felt during the few days and nights we spent there. The house has a terrace right by the river. We thoroughly enjoyed having our breakfast there while admiring the beautiful view and listening to the soothing sound of the river. Such a relaxing place! We were also able to use two kayaks. 🙂 You can easily take several wonderful excursions in the area. Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj, Medjugorje, and the Kravica Waterfall are all within easy driving distance and are definitely worth visiting. There is also a small supermarket within walking distance, as well as the lovely Restaurant Konoba Ćuprija, with its cozy garden and friendly staff, and the River Restaurant, which also serves delicious food and has very kind people. Last but not least, a few words about our host, Gaga: he is such a nice, friendly, and open-minded person. Thank you for your hospitality and for the interesting conversations. Alles was erg perfect! De locatie, het huis, alle faciliteiten en de eigenaar! Het was erg ontspannen! Er is veel in de buurt te doen! Restaurantjes en supermarkt op loopafstand. Maar ook de regio is prachtig! Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gut gelegen. Die Terrassen waren super zum entspannen. Ibrahim war immer ansprechbar und super hilfsbereit.
