The Destan Hotel and Terrace

I stayed in the Destan Hotel after moving from another hotel in Baku's Old City that was noisy and not very clean. The Destan was an excellent choice and I highly recommend it. The location is quiet but only steps away from all the sights of the old city. All the staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable and a very good breakfast is served in a nice space right off the front lobby.

I had no problems at the hotel at all. My room was on the lower level and therefore had no view, but even so it was very large, quite comfortable, and an excellent value.

I really liked the staff and services they provided. Their behaviour and attitude were friendly and polite and guys tried to please the guests, that’s amazing. Also the location was really nice, I have most of the sightseeings near hotel. I also liked the spacious room, which provided a comfortable place to relax.

I should note that I’m an experienced traveler, and some of the drawbacks I can mention are just minor issues for me, but they’re worth noting. For example, I would consider the monotonous breakfast, the lack of shelves for storing things (only hangers), and the slight “wear and tear” of the room to be minor issues. But I was very bothered by the sewage system - water was dripping (which woke me up at night), there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, and there was some dirt in the room that hadn’t been cleaned. But it didn’t spoil my stay in Dastan, because I’m not a picky guest ;)
