Half of 6 is a detached croft house in the crofting village of Gedintailor, seven miles from Portree. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a double and a twin room. There is also a bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area and a multi-fuel stove and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside there is a lawned garden and parking. Half of 6 is a fantastic base for those looking to explore everything that the Isle of Skye has to offer. Note: Sloping ceilings on first floor. Note: Dogs to be kept under control when outside. Sheep in the neighbouring fields. Note: The cottage has a private water supply. Note: The house is accessed by a hard core (but not tarmac) track approximately 800 metres long. The track climbs up a hill and is a little steep in places.
The Neighborhood:
Set round its natural harbour on the stunning and tranquil Isle of Skye, charming Portree boasts an excellent range of shops, hotels and restaurants. Cultural attractions are plentiful; the Aros Centre is well worth a visit with its programme of concerts, theatre and cinema. Sports enthusiasts are also well catered for, with sea kayaking, rock-climbing and a good choice of well-marked walks.
