Spend days discovering Suffolk’s charm before returning for an al fresco feast using the charcoal BBQ that awaits at this thatched haven.
Sympathetic to its original features, boasting exposed beams and large picture windows, the barn’s open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner perfectly blends rich heritage with homely touches. The soft sofa provides the ideal spot to soothe weary walking muscles as you watch the Smart TV, whilst the contemporary country-style kitchen will inspire you to whip up something delicious with your tasty local produce. Sharing the same charm as the rest of the downstairs, the ground-floor double bedroom offers a haven of serenity to retire to and is served by a well-appointed wet room. Upstairs, you’ll find a welcoming super-king size room which can be made up as a twin and features an en-suite shower room, plus a scenic king-size bedroom which makes use of the family bathroom. The enclosed garden is an oasis of calm; playful pups can roam the lawn as you enjoy dining alfresco on the patio. You’ll also find private parking for four cars.

Lying along the River Deben, peruse a variety of wonderful independent shops, cafes and restaurants in nearby Woodbridge (7.5 miles) or skim stones out to sea at the charming seaside town of Aldeburgh (11 miles). Venture to Thorpeness (12 miles) to explore the picturesque Peter Pan-themed Meare, an artificial lake, or head to RSPB Minsmere (20 miles) to enjoy a spot of bird watching.
