About this chalet rental

This lovely lodge makes a fabulous base for families and friends, pairing the appeal of entertainment and activities for all ages – book the flow rider for family fun, with the flexibility of a self-catering stay. Located within the renowned Retallack Resort, it’s a 7-mile drive from North Cornwall foodie-favourite Padstow, 9.5 miles from the bustling seaside town of Newquay and 12.5 miles from the surfing paradise of Fistral Beach. Head to the county’s southern coastline instead, where Fowey’s cobbled streets and harbour are 20.5 miles away; at 15 miles from your doorstep, the famous Eden Project is en route. For family-themed days out, Lappa Valley (10 miles) is a 35-acre hidden gem of play and trains, while Springfield Fun Park has animals, rides and a play barn full of rainy-day fun. Camel Creek Family Adventure Park has more than 40 attractions – the latter two are 4 miles from your holiday home.


Great for a multi-generational getaway, the accommodation here is generously proportioned. Step through the front door and off the entrance hall, there’s a twin bedroom, a double bedroom and a family bathroom, plus an open-plan social space that’s sure to be a hive of holiday activity. In the lounge area, a selection of cosy sofas are arranged before the TV. Huge windows and French doors fill the room with light, allowing views out over the deck. Close by, the kitchen is sleek and houses all the must-haves of home; work your culinary magic then take your seats at the contemporary dining suite. A second lounge on the upper floor is also bathed in light and features a vaulted ceiling, TV and a choice of comfortable seating. This floor also has a spacious master suite with a king-size four-poster bed and en-suite shower room, and a separate twin bedroom.


Take a seat on the balcony off the first-floor lounge for far-reaching views over the resort and the surrounding landscape. Back on ground level, you have a choice of outdoor areas in which to unwind. To the front of the lodge, the large decked area is enclosed, overlooks the lawn and has furniture for al fresco dining – fire up the Mediterranean-style BBQ for inspiration. There’s a second, more secluded deck to the rear, with sofa-style outdoor furniture, sun loungers and – for the ultimate in laid-back luxury – a hot tub. To enhance your leisure time, the resort facilities include a swimming pool, spa, aqua park, bar/restaurant and shop.
