Fistral hot tub house on Retallack Resort

Loved the space. Great location. Most beaches were around 20mins away. Great communication with owner. Unfortunately some items that were listed as being in the property were not there. Messaged owner and some issues were rectified. A lovely welcome gift of scones, jam & cream. The starter pack was very good.

Cleanliness wasn’t great. Cobwebs in bedrooms. Both outside the front and back could do with some much needed TLC. Outside table was filthy and underneath the table on the decking needed a good sweep. Brambles growing up through the decking, which we cut as people kept catching themselves on them. Decking very uneven in places. Could quite easily trip. It needed a good brush to get cobwebs down. The glass panels on the balcony were really grubby. It’s a shame, as with a bit of time, effort & TLC, it would be lovely. We were just not getting the luxury vibe, that it stated & for the price, a little disappointed. Couldn’t get the TVs to work, but these were sorted whilst we were out for the day. Items were missing from the property, that were stated in the property details. No bath robes. No wine cooler. No coffee maker & iron (however these both were delivered the second day we were there). The Hot Tub was cold - however maintenance man sorted this out. We were also told before our stay that we could contact the pool and book the pool out for a private session, however this isn’t the case.

The location was lovely. The river with the ducks each morning was beautiful.

The cleanliness of the property lacked. Looked like it hadn't been hoovered. Bits on the floor, mud at the doorway, grease at the back of the cooker. I could go on, it really let the property down.
