About this cottage rental

This characterful property is a wonderful base for walkers, nature lovers, anglers and birdwatchers. We recommend that you bring your binoculars and walking boots and check out the local birds and wildlife! The immediate area offers a choice of secluded paths and cycle trails, with Scoulton Mere, Melsop Farm Park, and Swangey Lakes all within 8 miles. Other attractions in this peaceful part of the county include Bawburgh, Royal Norfolk, and Mattishall Golf Clubs, Harling Woods and Thetford Forest nearby (all within 18 miles). The historic city of Norwich is 19 miles away, where you can explore a thriving city centre and its bustling market, restaurants, cathedral and museums. Further afield, there is an amazing array of National Trust beaches and Norfolk Wildlife Trust and RSPB nature reserves, including RSPB Buckenham and Cantley Marshes (26 miles) and Lakenheath (27 miles), well worth a visit for their exciting nature throughout the year.


Situated in a quiet and hidden spot behind the owner's home and with a stunning private garden for guests, this peaceful annexe is accessed via a separate path and private door. This leads directly into the bright, fresh and airy open-plan annexe. To one side, the tastefully arranged kitchen lounge has a Smart TV and plenty of comfortable seating, perfect for a relaxing night in. Here, guests have access to a stylish self-contained kitchen unit with a fully equipped larder adjacent. In addition to comfy chairs, the lounge also has a single sofa bed, sleeping one extra guest. When it's time to turn in for the night, the light and spacious bedroom has a comfortable super king-size bed and ample storage space. A shower room with a walk-in shower completes the layout of this inviting property.


Heading outside, guests (and their dogs) can relax on their own private terrace and seating area that overlooks a beautifully-maintained English country garden full of lovely flowers, birds and wildlife. It’s a haven of tranquillity and features ample outdoor furniture, a BBQ and fire pit, offering a quiet and relaxing space for dining alfresco. Private off-road parking is available for one car.
