Home to the famous Maltings concert hall, the picturesque Suffolk village of Snape has a history dating back over 2,000 years to Roman times. The Snape Marshes are half a mile to the south, bordering the River Alde as it heads to the historic fishing village of Aldeburgh (5.5 miles) and out to sea. There’s a wealth of local attractions for walkers, history buffs and nature lovers including Sutton Hoo, Parham Airfield Museum, Leiston Abbey, RSPB Minsmere and Bentwaters Cold War Museum, all within 10 miles.
