About this house rental
The Heilhecker vacation home in Brake offers 100 m² of space for a relaxing vacation in a peaceful, rural setting.
This detached thatched-roof house, typical of the region, features a bedroom, a bathroom, a cozy living room with a TV and nice reading nooks, and a spacious living/dining area with a staircase leading up to the open loft.
It can accommodate up to 4 people (1 double bed and 2 single beds).
Thanks to its location in the heart of nature, you can enjoy peace and quiet and a view of the green countryside. The surrounding area is particularly well-suited for guests who appreciate nature, exercise, biking, jogging, or walking.
Children ages 10 and up are welcome.
A sandy beach is located about 3 km away on the Weser River.
The living area is equipped with a sofa corner, an armchair, and a TV with digital satellite connection and international channels.
Wi-Fi and an internet connection are also available.
A large dining table in the entryway seats many people and is perfect for shared meals and cozy game nights.
The kitchen is fully equipped and features a stove with a glass-ceramic cooktop, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, a blender, as well as kitchen utensils, dishes, and silverware, and a radio.
The house also has a washing machine for personal use, a dryer, an iron, an ironing board, a clothes rack, and a vacuum cleaner.
The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, sink, toilet, mirror, window, and hair dryer.
Heating, smoke and fire alarms, and privacy screens on all windows provide additional comfort and safety.
Outside, the garden, patio, and a covered seating area invite you to relax.
A free private parking space is available right next to the house.
You can charge your electric car directly on the property using a Wallbox.
Utility costs (electricity, sewer/water, heating) are billed based on your personal usage.
Due to its historic construction, the house has a special charm and plenty of North German flair. However, we would like to point out that the interior door frames vary in height and are, in some cases, lower than usual, and that the staircase—which is easily accessible but does not meet standard specifications—also has reduced headroom due to the old wooden structure.
The staircase also lacks child safety features.
We would also like to point out that the property—as is typical for this region—is not fenced in but is surrounded by unsecured ditches.
The wood-burning stove shown in the photos is not included in the reservation and is for decorative purposes only. The fireplace is not usable.
One pet is allowed for an additional fee.
The owners live in the immediate vicinity of the property with their own animals, such as a dog, cat, and horses, and are happy to provide tips and answer questions.
Public transportation is about 500 km away. Restaurants and the town of Brake—with its train station, shopping, bank, doctors, and hospital—are about 3 km away, and the Weser ferry is about 6 km away. The region offers a wide variety of excursion options.
Since a car is necessary, the vacation home is particularly well-suited for guests who want to explore the surrounding area flexibly.
