Arewa Hostel

I originally planned to stay only two nights on my first trip to Yerevan and wanted to book a hotel, but the price and reviews convinced me to take a chance and book this hostel instead. It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out to be a truly unforgettable experience. I made some of the coolest friends within the first two hours. I spent most of my time there with them — we cooked together, played pool, went to bars, and even stayed up all night drinking wine, which was fantastic for a solo traveler. The location was great, and most places were within walking distance. The staff were kind and helpful. I would definitely choose this experience over staying in a hotel, even for the same price. I left with new friends, magical memories, and countless stories to tell.

Удобное расположение, дружелюбная атмосфера. Много гостей - при этом в хостеле всегда следят за чистотой и безопасностью. Отзывчивый, готовый помочь и подсказать персонал. До этого я в хостеле никогда не жила, думала будет хуже, но мне понравилось Многие здесь живут подолгу или возвращаются повторно - это о многом говорит, я, например, с удовольствием вернусь.

The location

Not clean. I booked a twin bedroom, yet there was no trash bin in the room and no towels were provided. There was a man - not sure if he was a tenant or from management - sleeping outside next to my room in a common area, who accused me of speaking too loudly. I was alone, so I’m not sure whose voice he was referring to. Also, if you’re sleeping in a common area rather than a proper bedroom or dorm, you can hardly expect complete silence. Also, if you stay here, you can literally feel the tremors from the metro trains running underneath.
