L'appartement se trouve dans le centre de Gouda, il est très bien rénové.
Nous avions réservé seulement une semaine à l'avance, et la canicule était annoncée. Etant donné que les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas je trouve que l'on devrait s'abstenir de louer le logement en cas de canicule. Il faisait étouffant. Les fenêtres du living donnent sur la place de Gouda, où les jeunes font du bruit toute la nuit, nous n'avons donc pas dormi. Les petites fenêtres de la chambre arrière qui ne suffisent pas à aérer l'appartement donnent sur une petite terrasse appartenant à l'autre appartement de l'étage, et sur cette terrasse les autres locataires fumaient.
