Charming Cave House Le Lys Near Beauval & Châteaux

The place is just like in the pictures. What you can't see, but you feel from the moment you step into the property, is all the love and dedication from Jonathan and Louise in every single detail. The decoration, the distribution of the space into the cave, and all the facilities and utensils make you feel at home. We had lovely barbecues, enjoyed the freshness inside, relaxed on the outside area and, of course, enjoyed the wonderful castles and surroundings. From the moment we made the reservation our hosts were willing to help us in every way possible, and it was great to have them as our neighbors during our stay, always with a smile and nice words. This is the perfect spot for anyone on their holidays, and for sure we are looking forward to come back. We forgot a backpack at the house, and our hosts helped us with the shipping to recover it. We can only thank Jonathan and Louise for making our stay as memorable as it could be.

J'ai aimé le charme de la maison troglodyte, le calme, la propreté du logement, les équipements, la proximité d'endroits formidables à visiter. J'ai aimé l'accueil de Louise et sa petite famille. Le jardin est paisible, la maison fonctionnelle et très bien refaite. Le kit de bienvenue est juste incroyable, tout est de qualité. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise. Logement sécurisé, arrivée autonome simple.

If you like quirky you’ll love this place. It’s not often you get the opportunity to spend time living in a cave house! And this was the best appointed cave I have encountered. The outdoor space with a dining area and recliners to relax in the garden was an unexpected bonus. So was the air conditioning system which kept the upstairs bedroom cool despite the summer heat. We stayed as a family of three with our teenager enjoying sleeping in the cave area downstairs while mum and dad slept in the upstairs double bed room. The location made a brilliant base for visiting Loire chateaux and wineries.
