Sunset Home

The location in the heart of the old town, close to everything, yet on a quiet street. The small balcony overlooking the sea is lovely. The apartment is spacious for the price, with two bedrooms and a separate kitchenette. I warmly recommend visiting and staying in Cefalù, and the apartment’s location is excellent. However, the place needs more experienced and welcoming management. With minimal investment it could become a gem.

When we arrived in the evening, the apartment was closed up and had a strong smell of mold, because the towels and bedding had been left hanging damp inside the closets. We had to take out all the towels and bedding ourselves and hang them on the clotheslines on the balcony to dry. During our stay the toilet broke and wouldn’t stop running. The host was reachable on WhatsApp but wasn’t really helpful, and in the end we took the cover off ourselves and stopped the leak. Sleeping was uncomfortable. The beds are uncomfortable, some of the sheets were torn, and there were no blankets, only sheets. Even then, there were just two double sheets for three guests, which is far from enough. The apartment feels very bare, with no personal or decorative touch. There are no mirrors outside the shower, and there’s a small TV mounted on the ceiling that you can’t really watch. The shared area has nowhere comfortable to sit, just a table with four hard wooden chairs. There’s no kettle and no coffee maker, and not even a bottle of water was left for our arrival night. At the end of your stay you have to take the trash yourself to a waste center outside the old town.

L’emplacement du logement est parfait 👍 Excellente communication avec l’hôte.

Les draps nécessitent d’être renouvelé. En précision, les escaliers sont raides afin d’accéder au logement , ce qui semble être typique 😉
