La Piazzetta

The view from the balcony was great and the apartment was situated very centrally in Cefalu old town. Overall, it seemed clean enough to us and had some charme. A nice touch was a personal welcome, which we had only this one time on our trip to siciliy.

Generally, the apartment was run down and shabby. The matress had seen better times and so had the sofa. The toilet lid was cracked, the shower was very narrow closing only with difficulty and there were a lot of stains from what I guess was rust all around the place. The kitchen equipment was minimal with only salt for basic cooking ingredients. There was a well audible pump going in the building day and night. Also, one is supposed to separate 5 kinds of trash and yet there is only one trashbin in the apartment. The price was very high, which is probably typical for Cefalu. I wouldn't recommend visiting the town anyways.
