Old Town Lecce for Families - Walk Everywhere!

The apartment is very comfortable! It's spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable, and our baby also loved the toys and the crib. The location is excellent—you can easily walk to all the main attractions.

Since our baby takes a nap around midday, we specifically chose this apartment because we were looking forward to sitting on the balcony overlooking the street while the baby slept, as shown in the photos. Unfortunately, we were given a different apartment at the back of the building, where the balcony overlooked a construction site instead. The bathroom also had a very strong sewer smell coming from the drain. It may not be something that's easy to fix, but it made using the bathroom quite unpleasant.

Where to start with the positives about Casa Matteotti!! There are so many! Brand new to Booking.Com so therefore didn’t yet have the usual volume of reviews that we would normally rely on to help us decide, but we just loved the look of it and the personal description of it previously being a loved family home. Location wise, it couldn’t be better. The stunning Basillica di Santa Croce is literally about 300 feet from the front door. We took an historic walking tour of the Old Town and a lot of the stops on our tour were within a stones throw distance from the apartment. The apartment itself is amazing, very spacious, two really big bedrooms, both with huge and really comfortable (superking!) beds, we had the best nights sleep! The interior looks brand new and is absolutely spotless throughout! The kitchen has everything you’d need and more, fab coffee machine! The addition of a washing machine was great, especially when traveling for two weeks. The balcony overlooking the pretty street below was my favourite place to sit in the morning for breakfast and in the evening before dinner to just watch the world go by and soak up the sounds of beautiful Lecce!! The apartment is also located within a very private building, behind several locked doors which felt very safe, and also has a lift to help with suitcases. Lecce is a beautiful city and this apartment without a doubt enhanced the enjoyment of our stay, so we highly recommended it. Mike is a perfect host, very friendly and attentive without intrusion, really respectful of his guests’ privacy. Immediately responsive for queries with good recommendations for the local area, so a great source of information. Thanks Mike! 🇮🇹

The location was excellent, you could very easily walk everywhere (park (with a playground), old centre, great restaurants, nice shopping in the street of the appartement). The apartment is very new and great for families travelling with kids. My daughter loved the toys! There is a kitchen with everything you need, a nice shower en comfortable bed. The host is very nice and responded very quickly when we had questions. So we definitely recommend this place when staying in beautiful Lecce!

Nothing! The only thing to keep in mind is that it can be difficult to find parking space on the street. However there are 2 parking garages nearby.
