1 Bron Rhedyn Holiday Cottage

Great location if you have a car, very easy for travelling around the area. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms and showers worked well. Reasonably clean. Good communication from the host. Nice setting with trees and waterfall. Plants inside/outside the house.

It's not a bad place at all, the basics are all OK, but... The kitchen could have been a little better equipped, lacked oven dishes - there were 2 small trays only, no potato masher, no kitchen scissors (so I bought some!) We were 6 people and the lounge was a little small for everyone, it has 2 two-seater sofas. Duvets were thick for summer - perfect for winter stays, too hot for August. This place has so much potential, the outside has character, but lacks a homely feel inside. All doors were creaking fire doors (some lube on the hinges might help), which may be good for fire safety, but spoiled the flow. Decor finishing is not neat, a lot of wires, plastic trunking and exposed pipes. Perhaps more pictures on the wall would help detract from this? I guess this is the reason why the place was clean but not ultra-clean - a decent cleaning job was done, but impossible to get into all the nooks and crannies. TV is bizarrely high on the wall.

The location was perfect and the facilities were good

We only had 1 bath towel each which we had to use everytime we washed our hands, the towels remained damp eventhough we tried to air them on the airer. Small hand towels in each bathroom would have been helpful. Also a mirror above the draws would be useful in each bedroom.

Great location, easy access, good value.

A couple more basic items of kitchenware would be useful - eg a cloth for the sink and to wipe surfaces, and deep baking dishes for making tray bakes / lasagnes etc
