Heyu hotel is strategically located near Z8 exit of the underground mall. However, there’s no lift at Z8. As my luggage was relatively light, I carried it and walked up flights of stairs. For those who are travelling with heavy baggage, please take the lift at Z4, and walk towards Z8 at the ground level. I chose this hotel because it’s near Taipei Main station, easy for me to take a railway train to another city.
Anyway, I stayed in room 303 for one night. It is a suite room with a double bed and a tiny window. No table for me to work on my laptop though. Cleanliness of the room was okay, but have to admit the industrial design just made the room look a little run-down.
In a nutshell, I wouldn’t recommend Heyu hotel is you are on a work trip where you need to spend time working on your laptop. However, if you just need a place to stay while you spend most of your time outside shopping and experiencing Taipei, it’s a great budget hotel for a hot shower and good sleep at the end of the day.

I love the fluffy towels provided. However cleanliness could be improved, space under bed was dirty/dusty.

I arrived 1 hour before the check in time, i asked the receptionist if I can stay so i can eat while i was waiting for the check in. They agreed, and later on, they let me checked in earlier. They were considerate, they probably noticed how tired and hungry i was when i arrived. They also offer free water, coffee and tea to their guest, and was available during my whole stay. They also have a microwave and refrigerator at the receiving area. The room was also clean. My room was small, but enough for me, since i was alone.
Location is very near to taipei main station, so i dont need to ride a taxi from or going to the airport.
Definitely, i got more than i paid for. Im happy with my stay. Thank you, HeyU Hotel. Highly recommended! Will book this again once i come back

The room is clean and has a japanese style toilet which I like very much. Only comment is there were no person to welcome when we arrived early so we just left our things near the front desk. Find it a bit risky but nothing got lost so it was safe I guess. Another guest did the same thing as us. Had a hard time contacting the property when I needed confirmation.
In return we are assigned to a very nice room with a window and view.
