Comfortable Apartments in Notting Hill

Das Apartment ist einfach großartig, es ist gut eingerichtet, gemütlich und man fühlt sich wohl! Edgar, der Vermieter, hat sich fantastisch um uns gekümmert. Die Lage geht eigentlich nicht besser, das Apartment war mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und das Schlafzimmer war ruhig und das Bett bequem. Ich werde ab sofort nur noch bei Edgar unterkommen, ich bin total begeistert! Ich komme jedenfalls wieder und freue mich schon jetzt auf den nächsten Aufenthalt. (Eigentlich will man diesen Geheimtipp für sich behalten, damit es so bleibt ;))

Ich war in der heißesten Woche in London (es hatte durchgehend 35-38 Grad), es gab zwar Ventilatoren in Wohn- und Schlafzimmer aber das hat nur mehr bedingt geholfen, es war dementsprechend heiß in der Wohneinheit. Da diese Temperaturen in Zukunft wohl zum Alltag gehören werden, wäre eine kleine mobile Klimaanlage zumindest im Schlafzimmer super.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming flat in Notting Hill. The apartment was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped with comfortable bedding, a great kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi. The location is hard to beat just a short stroll from Portobello Road Market, with countless cafés, restaurants, and shops on the doorstep, plus excellent transport links for exploring the rest of London. The host was friendly, professional, and quick to respond, making check-in seamless. The neighbourhood is safe, quiet at night, and full of classic Notting Hill character. We'd return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

Location and price were the initial reasons we picked this apartment (it had no reviews at that time). Notting Hill was one of our location targets and paying only 135€ per night as a family of 4 (May 2026) was quite unbeatable. However, the apartment itself is very nice: very clean, right next to bus/metro and shops/restaurants and providing everything one could expect from an apartment (good wifi, extra towels, washing machine, cleaning products just to name a few). On top of that, one can see that the host makes an effort to go one step further: Nespresso coffee machine (I'm sure the offered capsules could satisfy an Italian couple for at least a week), a kettle with a tea box full of different flavours that could easily be a birthday gift for a tea enthusiast, complementary water and soft drinks in the fridge, hair conditioner (next to the shampoo and shower gel), hand and body lotion - things that one would look for in a 4-star hotel... Oh, and universal socket adaptors! Speaking of the host, Edgar was not present, but he was easily reachable by phone or email (via booking.com) and was kind enough to let us drop-off our luggage a few hours before checking in. I wish I could write more about him but the apartment was so fine that we barely needed the guy! Overall a great stay, I wouldn't even think of looking for another place next time if this one is available (and the price remains so competitive).

The main bed was a tiny bit narrow for my taste, but I admit I am used to a king-size one at home. As one might expect from a standard London building, the sound insulation is not top notch, but the street is rather calm - despite the traffic - expect the 1 or 2 sirens (police or ambulance) that we heard. Other than that, no noise at all, we had the impression we were alone in the building. Our 2 girls slept fine (and they were the ones sleeping on the street side).
