You’re just a short walk from the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, the Ernest Hemingway Birthplace and Museum, and surrounded by fantastic local restaurants, cozy coffee shops, unique boutiques, and—during the season—a vibrant farmers market right around the corner.

Inside, you’ll find a welcoming living area, two comfortable bedrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen for preparing meals at home. The separate dining room features a table with seating for six, making it a great space to gather for meals, games, or planning your next adventure.

The Green Line “L” train station is just one block away, making it easy to reach downtown Chicago in about 20 minutes—ideal for day trips or commuting into the city.

You’ll enjoy secure, keyless entry with a unique access code provided before your stay. Guests also have access to shared laundry facilities in the basement, just down the stairs at the back of the house.

Whether you’re here to explore architecture, dive into local history, or just enjoy a peaceful getaway with quick access to the city, this Oak Park stay offers the perfect blend of charm, comfort, and convenience.

During the warmer months, you’ll find a window air conditioner in each bedroom and a large portable AC unit in the living room. There are also two floor fans and two desk fans for you to use as you see fit, try opening the windows when it cools off and you can circulate the fresh air if that’s sounds appealing.

Guest access
Guests will receive a unique access code prior to check-in. This code will work on both the front and back doors of the house and will remain active for the duration of your stay. The keyless entry system makes it easy and secure to come and go as you please—no keys needed.

Other things to note
To ensure a comfortable stay during warmer months, each bedroom has its own window air conditioner, and the living room features a powerful 8,000 BTU portable A/C unit. We’ve also included two floor fans and two desk fans per unit, which you can move as needed. In the evenings, when temperatures drop, the floor fans are great for helping to circulate fresh air if you choose to open the windows.

Parking is available on the street. I would just ask that you pay attention to the signs and park accordingly.

Overnight parking is available on Ontario St. to the north of the house. You will need to download the “Park Oak Park” app and follow that process.

I’ll be happy to walk you through the process as I’ve used it many times myself. There is no fee involved.

Laundry facilities are available for your use in the basement. To access them, simply follow the stairs at the rear of the house down to the basement. You’ll find a washer, dryer, laundry soap, and a utility sink if needed. Feel free to use them anytime during your stay.
