Apartment terraces in Rome are seldom more impressive than the one at Casa Colonna. In fact, there are two! Both come with an abundance of greenery, elegant garden furniture and, of course, a superb view. Nothing prepares you for the splendour of Piazza Sant’Ignazio immediately ahead. But most impressive of all is Casa Colonna’s location: the Pantheon is a two-minute walk away.
Inside is a similarly tasteful tone, with beautiful parquet floors throughout and other subtle classicist touches that remind you exactly where you are in the world. Things are offset with signs of modern luxury, most noticeable in the soft furnishings: the velvet loveseat in the lounge is a wonderful place to read and relax with a friend or partner.
The apartment’s four bedrooms deserve a special mention: walk through their carved, curved panel doors and you’ll find serene spaces with clean-line furniture, more pretty parquetry and modern art.
