Cheltenham is regarded as the ‘Cotswolds culture hub’ and is home to several world-renowned festivals, such as the Gold Cup at Cheltenham Racecourse should you want to don your tweed for a day at the races, and the Jazz Festival where the world’s greats descend to bring music to your ears. Whilst in Cheltenham, you may wish to pay homage and visit The Holst Birthplace Museum: Composer of ‘The Planets’, Holst’s childhood home which retains its original Regency architecture and decor, on show alongside many of Holst’s personal effects including the piano on which he composed.
