Everett Retreat is an extraordinary modified A-frame mountain home in the beautiful ''Big Cedar Glen'' neighborhood with close proximity to hiking trails and the Village of Idyllwild.
The open floor plan and seamless indoor-outdoor design of the main floor is ideal for family/friend gatherings. The gourmet cook's kitchen is at the center of the home and features a large granite breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave. The wine refrigerator will keep your wine at the perfect temperature for when you return from visiting the town, hikes or snow play.
The kitchen flows into the indoor dining area and living room with enormous high ceilings of warm knotty pine and large windows highlighting the mountain views. Enjoy the cozy wood burning stove on those cool Idyllwild evenings. The main floor also features one bedroom with a queen bed, and a full guest bathroom. In the upstairs loft, soak in the sunlight of the spacious master bedroom featuring a king bed and en-suite bath with a luxurious double shower. There is also an additional bedroom with a queen bed just off of the primary loft with a writing desk, perfect for quiet journaling or catching up on emails.
Enjoy meals with family and friends at the indoor dining room or choose from two outdoor dining options. The first is located within the private fenced-in back yard with seating for 6, a BBQ and brand new hot tub. A giant “Idyllwild boulder” adds charm to this outside seating area. The second outdoor dining area is located on the elevated wrap around deck overlooking the mountains, cedars, pines, manzanita, white lilacs and Japanese plum trees!
Enjoy morning coffee, evening wine or family/friend game time on the covered portion of the wrap-around deck containing a 6- to 8-person seating area with cushions. All outside dining and seating areas are enclosed with a fence or railings so you can enjoy your outdoor time with you fur babies!
