The Reetdachhus Meduse, built around 1790, is located on the Langer Deich in Nordstrand and blends seamlessly into the island’s expansive landscape. The house is about a 20-minute walk from the outer dike and the nearest swimming spot. With its secluded location, historic thatched roof, and surrounding nature, the house seems almost enchanted and exudes a special, timeless tranquility. Your four-legged friends are also welcome here.
The vacation home accommodates up to four people and combines historic charm with cozy living comfort. The first floor features a separate kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, the living room, and a bedroom with a double bed. In the converted attic, there is another bedroom with a futon bed. The low ceilings and exposed beams define the sense of space and contribute significantly to the home’s cozy atmosphere.
Inside, wooden beams and light-colored materials set the tone. Large windows let plenty of natural light into the rooms and create a close connection to the surrounding landscape. The kitchen is brightly designed, furnished with wooden elements, and offers everything you need for self-catering during your vacation, including a coffee maker and freezer space. On the upper floor, wooden elements and the sloping ceilings define the sense of space and emphasize the house’s original character.
The house features a spacious garden with a patio, seating areas, and play facilities. From here, a sweeping panoramic view opens up over the fields and the natural landscape of Nordstrand—a peaceful place that invites you to enjoy relaxing moments outdoors.
