Welcome to the Kapitänshus—sun, sea air, and time to relax. The proximity to the sea and the North Sea climate gently set the rhythm of the day here.

The “Frische Brise” vacation apartment is located on the upper floor of the Kapitänshus and sits directly on the outer dike. Thanks to its elevated location, it offers a wide, unobstructed view over the dike to the Halligen, the island of Pellworm, and the endless expanse of the North Sea. The sea is always in view here; the fresh, salty sea air is ever-present and creates the typical, soothing North Sea climate.

The approximately 45-square-meter apartment is suitable for up to four people and is cozily furnished with great attention to detail. Sloping ceilings, low roof beams, and the open, airy feel give the apartment its unique character and enhance the atmosphere of the attic. Access to the living area is via a narrow, fairly steep staircase, typical of Nordstrand’s dike houses. From the living area, the view sweeps across the Wadden Sea and out to the North Sea. A fiber-optic internet connection is also available, rounding out the apartment’s amenities.

The open-concept kitchen-living area has a modern design and leaves nothing to be desired for self-catering during your vacation. A coffee maker, freezer space, and dishwasher round out the kitchen’s amenities. A dining table right by the window allows you to enjoy meals together while taking in the unobstructed view outside.

The bedroom is furnished with a French double bed and a wardrobe and also offers a view of the sea. Another bed is located in a quiet corner of the living room and blends harmoniously into the space. The modern bathroom adds a functional touch to the apartment and also offers a view of the Wadden Sea, a World Natural Heritage Site.

An exterior door leads to the shared laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, and ironing board. There is also a bike storage room with charging stations for e-bikes.

Bedding and towels can be booked as optional extras.

For larger travel groups or friends traveling together, there are additional apartments in the same building with enough space for all your guests. “Deichläufer” accommodates up to four people, while “Halligblick” and “Westwind” each accommodate two people.



Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and check-out is from 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
