Ortigia in Giallo by Wonderful Italy

The location was fantastic and the apartment itself is nicely renovated. It's right in the center of Ortigia, but on a small side street so it was perfectly calm and quiet. The hosts were relatively quick with responding and processed a small 8% compensation which was nice, but didn't fix the real problems.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with the accommodation: - There was no washing machine or dishwasher as advertised on the site. - One of the two bathrooms didn't have warm water. - A towel rack fell off the wall when we put a towel on it. - The water in the whole apartment was cut off completely for the last two days of our 5 night stay, making it impossible to shower etc. This was by far the biggest inconvenience. - There was also no self check-in and because of airport bus delays we arrived 20 minutes after 8pm and were charged the 20€ late check-in fee, even though we were in constant communication with the "welcome agent", updating them about our travel and the small delay that was outside of our control. I guess rules are rules, but considering the other issues, this just added on to the inconvenience and left quite a sour impression.
