Ellen Homestay

Very helpful host, excellent location and with sunset view

Weak water pressure, head portion of bed has kind of ipis smell

The room was very clean and the AC was very good. The room had a small fridge, which was great. Outside of the room there was access to hot water and a fridge with coffee/tea and crockery/cutlery. The location is right on the waterfront, a few doors from a SSI diving place, opposite a massage place and very near to many different restaurants - Filipino and western. The staff were amazing. It felt like a homestay, not just cheap lodgings. The owner frequently talked to me and on one occasion asked me to join her and eat, as she was making lumpia. Often, if I was sat outside, various family members would stop and chat. Whilst I was there, there were some Filipino guests and they were making their own food and invited me, and the family joined us and lent whatever we needed. It felt very very friendly.

Nothing. I liked everything.

Accessible, nice owner. They have 2 lovely dogs joined us outside doing bbq.

So far overall okey

Cute dogs, good moped. Comfy bed. The room was clean on arrival. Provide nice towels. Good aircon and wifi.

Room is very small, it was just big enough for 2 of us with 2 big backpacks. A thing to note is the windows don’t look out to anywhere but the main communal space where you’re meant to take your shoes off but it was dirty on the floor. We were mostly there alone, hosts were hard to find at times and one time we got locked out due to the door to the entrance being very stiff. The hosts very nice people, but didn’t give much guidance on what to do. We were confused by the other reviews which said they spent a lot of time with them. We didn’t feel very welcomed. The washing was also a-bit disappointing as the stains were still in our clothes as it was just on a quick cold wash. That being said, if you don’t want to be bothered it’s the place for you.
