Apartment 4 by Villa Ceni

Perfect PRIVATE apartment in a family villa. If you are travelling Solo it is VERY SAFE. The kind host family live on the other side. And there are two other apartments rented by guests. I fell in love with this home. How calm & quiet the area is. You will wake up to hearing the birds and views of the mountain. You have two balconies to enjoy daily. This is a true Albanian community. As a tourist Elbasan is more calmer environment than Durres or Tirana. A great base location to visit other parts of Albania. How to get here. If you have a car there is parking space and it would take 50 min drive from Tirana airport. You can pick up a hired car straight at the airport. If you are coming by public transport. From Tirana airport you would get a bus that goes straight to Tirana central bus (Cost 4Leke) (Use cash). This is a 30 minute journey. There are buses near the Tirana Central bus station that takes nearly one and half hour to get to TEG centre. You take a 20 min taxi cost 1,000L to TEG. Once at TEG -Tirana East Gate. The bus will take you 40 minutes bus ride to Elbasan bus station (cost between 200-400leke). Depending on what time of the day it is. If you have a ruck sack and like a little adventure. It is a calm 20 minute walk to the flat. Have in mind the location of the apartment is in a residential area away from all the main shops. The walking route takes you through back roads & a little steep road. It may feel isolated but it is NOT. There are many kids and families walking this route and living in homes on this route. Or you can take a taxi that cost 500lk. The home is perfect if you need somewhere to relax and work from home in silence like I did. Or also a one night stay before going to another city. If you are a light sleeper you will need earbuds as you will here neighbours dog at night. This is normal in the countryside. I Loveeeee this villa!

"What You Should Be Aware of". As culturally you may never have experienced hearing dogs bark at night. Nothing to be scared or worried about. You do need to be aware the Dogs are from neighbours NOT the host family. It is a way to keep the community safe! You will see stray dogs in Elbasan but they are very well behaved so do NOT be scared. Bring earbuds or headphones. It isn't every night either. Also, when walking through the community just say a simple "hello". It is a respectful way to respect the community. As they may not be familiar with you. It is a lovely community.

The location was very nice for me. It is not too close to the city but also not too far. If you do not have a vehicle there is a shop nearby with great prices! The apartment has everything you need and more. My favorite was waking up in the morning to the sunrise view. The apartment has 2 beautiful balconies where I spent plenty of my time! There are 2 ac units, one in the bedroom so it was easy to stay cool in the hot summer here. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and prepare food! The bed was large and comfortable as well as the couch. The living room had a nice sized smart tv as well! The toilet was great as well. The shower had great pressure and was hot whenever I needed it! The sink had a massive mirror with great lighting to help get you prepared for the day. There is also so much storage space! There is laundry in the hall which was very convenient for my extended stay. There is a drying rack on one of the balconies to use. Everything was available and ready for anyone who is staying in an apartments needs

It was huge, clean and modern. The bathroom was big, there was a good table to work at. Both balconies were huge, and the view was nice. My clothes dried super-fast. The bed was big, there was a smart TV, lots of drawers and shelf space, and the wifi was strong. Not too cluttered with kitsch. It was like a palace for the price.

A very long walk from the center, about 30 minutes on a country road. It wasn't abandoned or scary, but the sidewalks were hit and miss, and there was nothing to see or do along the way. As always, there weren't enough outlets.I do a lot of zoom, and it helps to be able to keep the power plugged in at the workspace, but there were no sockets in that area. The last morning, there was no hot water in the shower. I didn't have time to get it sorted out, so I can't judge how their response would be.

Ubicazione e vista panoramica dei monti con cime ancora innevate. Sito tranquillo dove è possibile ancora ascoltare la natura in tutti i suoi suoni e percepire il senso delle radici. Ambiente moderno, sobrio e pulito. Accoglienza calorosa e familiare. Tutto ciò che necessita per stare bene con anima e corpo. Grazie Villa Ceni . Ritornerò volentieri. Un cagnolino fastidioso che abbaia tutta la notte. A differenza del canto gradevole del Gallo che ti avvisa dell'alba prossima in Albania.
