Garden Haven in Szólád's Tranquil Heart

This holiday house with modern furnishing is in a little holiday park on the edge of Szólád in the central west of Hungary. The house is suitable for a maximum of six people. The park is about 300 metres from the village centre. The hilly location of the park amidst fields, vineyards and forests gives the impression of being far away from the inhabited world. The site the park was laid out on used to be a forest area, mainly with acacia and nut trees, of which as many of possible have been preserved to keep the natural character of the park. It was set up primarily for people looking for peace and quiet, as well as nature and wine lovers. Szólád is in a wine-growing region. The surroundings are hilly and green and the six-hectare site has an altitude difference of more than eight metres. Three hectares of the site has been divided into plots of at least 850m². All around the house there is a large garden with two terraces and plenty of spaces in the sun and in the shade, for enjoying the whole day in the garden. There are two complete sets of garden furniture and a grill. The garden provides ample privacy and it is possible to set up an inflatable pool. The house was built onto a hill. This means that on one side the ground floor has a door out onto the terrace and the garden that is three metres lower than the front garden. On the other side, the ground floor of the house is largely set into the ground. This part of the ground floor has two bedrooms that are pleasantly cool in summer and need little energy for heating in winter. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed 210cm long, the other with two single beds also 210cm long. There are also a multipurpose room and a bathroom with a washbasin, shower, toilet and washing machine. The upper floor has a living room with modern furnishing and a view towards Balaton, with a sitting corner, a DVD player, a stereo system and a dining corner with a large table and chairs. There is an adjoining kitchen, fully-equipped with a fridge and freezer compartment, microwave, ho, dishwasher, coffee machine and kettle. Here there is also the third bedroom with two single beds 210cm long and a balcony with a view of Balaton. The second bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. Free wireless Internet access is available. Szólád is about 110km to the south-west of Budapest and is accessed along the motorway M7, with its own motorway exit. Towards the west lie Slovenia and Croatia about 100km away. It is about 650km from Munich and 250km from Vienna. 5km to the north there is Lake Balaton, with a length of 70km, ideal for swimming, surfing, sailing and for practicing other water sports. Around the lake you can find countless recreational facilities.
