Really good room. Breakfast was fab and the pool was lovely.
Really busy during our stay. Couldn't get a table in the restaurant but enjoyed our dinner in the bar where we managed to get the last tiny table in the corner.

Location and setting. Good size room, tiered but usable facilities. Breakfast but many small issues.
Cold plates, cold eggs awkward hot drink system. Repeatedly ran out of buffet item. Ordered poached eggs. First day cold and hard. Second day scrambled eggs turned up instead. Third time cold fried eggs. Room service had to be chased on several occasions. Paying upon arrival is a low class feeling. Duvet cover on inside out. Secondarily pillows without pillowcases. Asked to pay a £50 per night deposit on my card. The result was we didn’t spend any additional funds at the venue. Corridors and stairway look very worn and tired.

Location outlook and rooms
Cooked breakfast not consistently hot on either morning just disappointing. Parking poorly managed on Saturday night. Would help to have better access to the hotel from the overflow.

Well located with beautiful views communal areas well looked after. Staff were outstanding so friendly and accommodating. Complimentary drinks in fridge
Units in rooms need updated as chipped and worn , tho doesnt affect stay. Breakfast not very warm when waiting for items to be refilled more child friendly items.

Dinner wasnt good .Service was very slow and our steak was rare instead of medium and chips were burned .

A great family friendly hotel. Stayed for 1 night with our son (7). We loved the pool and the pool table in the bar. The breakfast was delicious with a great choice. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening but had drinks at the bar. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Housekeeping lady was extremely kind and helpful. We will return.
The hotel has excellent facilities and the pool table was an added bonus for my son to play. It could possibly be better if there was a few more things for children to do in the evening.

Plenty of car parking spaces and room was good size.
To list a few! Room was very poor, needed upgraded and pull out bed was noisy everytimeyou moved. Spa day wasnt very relaxing as had nothing but kids in the pool area and swimming lessons so pool was divided off! Went to Flemings for dinner, appalling meal for what we paid, however after complaining we did get a glass of prosecco free. Unfortunately we wont be back!

Lovely location just off the motorway, good dinner and breakfast options, nice staff. Nice room
We never managed to get through to Spa staff when driving over so couldn’t make a booking

Staff were friendly and the room was clean
Suite was poor, second room was not furnished appropriately, 1 tired couch a tv and a table with a few chair in the corner. It looked like a prison waiting room
Food was terrible we had a burger as a safe option and it was £75 for that 1 sweet and a drink each.
Breakfast was a calamity, waiting to get in, served and then coffee machines not working. The hotel reception area was cold and it just lacked in every department
Also when booked the screen on your site references Half board and £28 which I read as the allocation per head for dinner. This seems to be a common confusion for booking.com customers. You need to update your site to remove this erroneous text or include half board.

Modern facility, went for spa day and overnight.
There wasn’t places to hang robes when using the toilet within the changing room.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly, helpful and polite. They really were a credit to the hotel and made our stay extra special. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice. Beds and rooms were comfortable and very reasonable price for a stop over on the way up to the Highlands. Would defintiely recommend and stay here again when travelling through Glasgow.
The hotel is slightly dated but didn't bother us

Pool changing area could definitely be cleaner. I was glad I had flip flops on!

The hotel is well situated for visiting family in Cumbernauld. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Heated towel rail wasn’t working. Decor could do with a refresh.

Good location
There was a wedding on and the bar was full of wedding guests also all the communal areas were extremely cold to the point every one wanted to sit by a radiator

Comfy bed. Warm and mostly quiet
Fire alarm went of close to midnight, and the room (240) was a long way from reception, which is a pain when one is carrying a lot of bags. Most of the other rooms are closer

Alan at the front desk was a delight - thank you! Good location, large and comfortable room. Dog-friendly.
The rooms are a bit tired and in need of TLC. A wedding/party was taking place that night with lots of loud and inconsiderate guests up and down the hallway - not the hotel’s fault obviously but unfortunately meaning a disturbed night.
It also meant the main parking was full and walking in the rain from the overflow parking lot with bags and two dogs was not pleasant.

Hotel staff were all very helpful. Room was a good size and very clean.
The pool area was very busy and had a lot of the loungers ‘unofficially reserved’ with towels that seemed to be by people having a spa treatment so they had a lounger to come too following their treatment. The whole time we were there, probably just over an hour, no one came to use a number of these loungers and no staff moved towels to free up for others.

Can’t fault it

Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Clearly understaffed which was noticeable but they work very hard to cover all bases and never said no to anything. Really friendly and welcoming.
The food was absolutely rotten. Breakfast was awful, cold and due to the lights above to keep it warm, it was dried out. Dinner one evening, 5 of us sent it all back. Stayed here a few times when visiting family and yet to have a lovely meal.

I am local to the area so I know it well. The hotel is a nice stay with excellent facilities, particularly the health and wellness section. We used the gym a lot which was very good for a hotel gym! We treated ourselves to a spa treatment which was excellent.
We opted for a twin room because the picture on booking.com showed that the beds could be pushed together (a double bed was unnecessarily way more expensive). However, upon arrival, the beds were separated by built in bedside tables and so we couldn’t do it and ended up sharing a large single bed. When I enquired about this, I was told that the hotel was full and that we couldn’t switch.
A tad annoying that the pictures don’t match the rooms. One to note!

The disabled accessible room was excellent and the bathroom was very nice, having both disabled and able bodied facilities included. As always, the hotel accepts pets, which is a major motivating factor in my decision to stay here, and I am able to bring my dog with me to the bar area while I have breakfast. The grill restaurant looked beautiful and very seasonally decorated.
We used the pool with my granddaughter and she loved it, there are lots of interesting parts to the pool are that kept a three year old happily entertained.
My husband and I took my granddaughter for afternoon tea,as a special treat, sadly this was less of a treat for her and more of a trial. There was no choices for the items presented to us, and some of the sandwich fillings were not appealing to her tastes: if given the choice I would not have chosen ham and bright yellow piccalilli sandwiches, nor cheese and Branson pickle, at £25 a head I would have liked to have had the choice of what was on the tray! The bread was stale, and the cakes were quite clearly something bought frozen, and then defrosted as needed, which resulted in them being a disgusting, mushy, soggy mess. Would not recommend and would NOT buy again. Very disappointed grandparents and grandchild.

Good facilities
Rowdy guests on a Thursday night. Staff did little to help. The room wasn’t clean and the decor is tired and old. It’s worse, but more expensive, than a Premier Inn.

I liked the restaurant and bars they were both very nicely decorated, the room was lovely. Staff were nice.
There was a very strong smell of cannabis whenever we opened our window or door. I’m not sure if there is a smoking area below our room but it really put us off. We also weren’t aware that the pool and spa area was open to children’s swimming lessons. it was very crowded and not relaxing at all, we left pretty shortly. I also pre ordered a package which never came to my room and I was charged for it, i did mention this to reception and it was refunded.

Shower power was amazing but a little bit run down in fittings and fixtures etc, very clean though, so don’t bother us at all, room was nice and spacious also.
No smart TV and only a few channels, fine if only sleeping but we were relaxing in room for the night, room service was ok but most likely way better eating in restaurant.

It's a beautiful setting and quiet.
Very easy to get to.
The curtains were a bit shabby and we couldn't open the window. But I understand it's under new ownership

Checkin was easy and great service provided. Room was great and decent size. The dinner in the restaurant was beautiful. The facilities were excellent.
The shower was either super hot or luke warm couldn’t get it to go somewhere in between so think something must have been not working there.

We loved that it was family friendly and we were welcome to use the facilities (pool, spa, gym) included in the stay.
All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, which other than swimming was the 14yr old main review of the stay.
Our shower was a bit small, but that’s just preference. Bath was a great size
