#110 Charming Country Stay at Brook Farm, Somerset-Sleeps 15 - 6 mins to Frome Museum - "Perfect for Contractors and Families - Free Parking"

It was a lovely place, very spacious and the games room was a surprise. Great for a young family with plenty of board games to entertain them. The location was a great base for visiting surrounding areas and with plenty of wildlife on the doorstep to enjoy.

The disappointing side of our stay was the poor housekeeping and presentation which became more evident as the days went by. In the kitchen, the oven was very dirty and well used and the larger microwave wasn't the best. The sink was the same with a crack running through it. These appliances have seen better days and should be replaced plus we had to deal with the presence of ants around the sink and worktop area where food was present. The food caddy under the sink was very dirty and not very hygienic and no compostable food bags provided. Had to buy our own. In my bathroom, the shower screen was streaky and in need of a good clean and I felt the need to clean the bath before use. Also, the cordless vacuum was still full from previous occupancy which I didn't think was acceptable. It's downfalls are such a shame for such a lovely property. Overall a little disappointing but with a deep clean and a bit of TLC will bring it back to a more acceptable standard.
