The Stonehouse at Ingleside, Cayuga Lake, Aurora NY

There was no key. There was keyless entry which was convenient. There was no breakfast. There was a welcome basket which was very nice. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfy. I am not sure of how many guests you have had so far but the decor was confusing. Seemed like you couldn't make up your mind if you wanted a farmhouse experience or a lake house experience. Upstairs very beachy and the downstairs, more traditional and farmhouse like. It is a lovely home though.

The entry door was unclear but the code worked to let us in. There was another door that we tried first that led into an old garage or room and it opened into the downstairs bedroom. The lock was not level to lock up and this was unsettling. We had to move a larger piece of furniture in front of the door in order to feel safer. The house is not handicapped accessible and the stairs were a bit steep and hard to climb. One of our party was unable to climb the stairs to use the showers. The bedroom downstairs needs an attached bathroom with walk in shower. There is a screw in the downstairs powder room sticking out of the doorknob and one of our party cut her hand deeply on it. There was a puddle of water below the refrigerator the last day of our stay. We didn't have anything in the fridge. We cleaned it up. The photos on Booking.com were a bit deceptive. They made it look like the lake was at the end of the property and not across the street and down the hill. It was very swampy the weekend we were in so we could not enjoy the lakefront.
