About this cottage rental
Beloved cabin-coverted-to-cottage perfectly set up for large groups with incomparable access to the lake.
The upstairs of the cottage has two bedrooms (double and single over double bunk bed), a full bathroom, a couch (the best nap spot ever) and futon, and wonderful lake views from its airy and bright open space. The downstairs has a more cabin feel with four bedrooms (queen, double, twin, and single over double bunk bed), kitchen, dining, sitting and living area with stone fireplace, along with a powder room, separate shower, and laundry room.
There is a porch perfect for buffet and drinks setup, a large deck for outdoor eating and enjoying the lake views, and a fire pit on the beach.
The cottage has excellent access to nearby amenities, including the Black Diamond Trail (1 mile), Taughannock State Park (2.5 miles), Cass Park (6 miles), the Boatyard Grille and downtown Ithaca (7 miles), Cornell University (9 miles) and Ithaca College (9 miles).
We have been on VRBO for a couple of seasons now for May-June rentals. We don’t have rental availability during the summer. Come enjoy our favorite spot and reach out with any questions!

This is a perfect place for a reunion! We realized the house was a “party house” when we saw the 2 fridges in the boathouse room and the sound/surround with speakers everywhere. But the best thing about this house was the feeling of family. The family left nice old family things which added to the feeling of the place.All ages from a 2 year old to a 75 year old enjoyed the home. we could park 5 cars for the graduation party. Very nice. We had evening campfires. Thank you for the nice wood. Also all the great water equipment which we enjoyed every day. It is a wonderful lake bunk house.

We rented the place for a mini reunion for 12 Cornell grads from the 90’sThe place is well equipped with plenty of bedrooms, a large deck and living space to accommodate everyone in the group. We enjoyed using the provided kayaks and the fire pit at night. The outdoor flat top grill was great for cooking meals for the group. Location 15 min away from Ithaca Commons and Cornell was ideal. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent the place again and is ideal for both adults and families.

The location was beautiful right on the water. Plenty of rooms for people to sleep. The firewood was great to have there ready to go as we did a bonfire every night. Would highly recommend!
