Aurora Escape is a stunning six-bedroom, four-bath estate located on the east side of Cayuga Lake in the heart of historic downtown Aurora. This lakefront retreat combines historic charm with modern comforts, providing the perfect setting for families, friends, or multi-generational groups. From the moment you arrive, the home's thoughtful design and serene surroundings invite relaxation and enjoyment.
Inside, original wood flooring and elegant touches create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A cozy library with leather chairs and a flat-screen television is perfect for unwinding with a book or enjoying a glass of local wine. The formal dining area provides space for meals or games, while the main living area features comfortable sofas, a decorative fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. The king-size master suite has an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and additional bedrooms on the main and second floors offer comfort and privacy for all guests.
A second fully equipped kitchen upstairs includes granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, ideal for preparing meals for larger groups. Three queen bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs provide ample space, and the drawing room with an antique pool table offers an inviting area for entertainment.
Outside, the permanent dock and Adirondack chairs provide the perfect spots to soak in the sun or enjoy the sunset over Cayuga Lake. The estate is centrally located for exploring Aurora's dining, shopping, and cultural offerings, as well as nearby attractions like the Cayuga Wine Trail, Cornell University, Ithaca, and local state parks. Whether relaxing by the lake, entertaining indoors, or exploring the Finger Lakes region, Aurora Escape provides a luxurious and memorable lakeside getaway.
Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests.
Note:
1. Smoking is not allowed in any rental property. This includes vaping and e-cigarettes.
2. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description.
3. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15.
4. Where pets are allowed it is indicated. Otherwise, pets are not allowed. Homes are not guaranteed allergen-free, even those that do not allow pets.
5. Docking capabilities may vary based on current water levels. Docking is not guaranteed if water levels are low and/or high due to seasonal weather and climate changes.
6. Outdoor amenities, including furniture, watercraft and firepit are not available between October 15 - May 15.

We had a wonderful time at this home. The house is very spacious, and nicely appointed. We also really enjoyed the town of Aurora. The only criticism is that there are 2 coffee pots in the main kitchen, neither of which worked, so we had to bring a pot down from one of the upstairs kitchens. And there are no oven mitts or pot holders in the house, and dish towels were not provided. Also in the description of the house it shows a lovely firepit down by the lake. The firepit did not exist. So that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise we had a wonderful experience!

We loved the unique spaces and art! We had 8 people and everyone was able to have their own room, except for the teens/college kids who all stayed up on the top level. We also loved walking down to the lake and enjoying all of the spring flowers. It was perfect for our family gathering for a memorial service in Syracuse.

The perfect house for relaxing by the lake or spending time with friends. Also, it is a short walk from local shops and bars. I would highly recommend if visiting the Finger Lakes region.

Lovely property and location. Difficult to deal with Fingerlakes Property Management. Ants in kitchen/bugs in other rooms, burned out light bulb in large first floor bedroom and upstairs closet, windows/screens/sills need a power cleaning in every room, not toiletries or Kleenex, digital entrance was very temperamental
