Firefly Eco Lodge

This place is a bit like upscale glamping out of a wes Anderson movie. It's out in the rice fields but not too far from town. If you really hate creepy crawlies or sleeping in treehouses it's probably a no go for you but I found this place to be very calm. **Note for firefly** Investing in some natural bug repellant and perhaps some incense or planting lemongrass could really help. Cinnamon or coffee grounds is good for keeping ants away. The staff are all young and friendly and seem to quite enjoy being around each other and getting the jobs done. They're helpful driving up to (and collecting from) the main road where the centre of town is a short walk. I'm obsessed with the french toast breakfast and have enjoyed the Buddha bowl a couple of times. If you're a slow traveller, like your own space and something a little rustic, it's a great place to stay!

I stayed several nights in the birdsnest when I got here. I didn't feel it was too clear what that space really was 😅 and the price of it wasn't too dis- similar to a private room. And I think bug prevention could be handled better as mentioned in things I liked..

Great freshly cooked breakfast! Great Location among the ricefields! Cute room!

The staff seemed a little disorganised. We also had to love location (which was great in the end because the other location was better) because of roof repairs.

It was so peaceful and quiet at the lodge. I loved listening to the crickets and frogs at night. The gardens are beautiful and it feels like a little oasis. I loved sleeping outdoors.

It is an “outdoor lodge” so be prepared for outdoor toilets and showers. But it’s an experience! The pics seem outdated, the main area is now closed off.
