House in Sedona, AZ
Reasons to book
About this house rental
When you book the full compound, you have exclusive use of the entire property: the main house and the casita, two distinct structures on the same beautifully landscaped grounds in historic West Sedona. Five bedrooms across two buildings. Two hot tubs. A cold plunge. An infrared sauna. An outdoor vintage soaking tub. A fire pit. A full kitchen & kitchenette. Eight car parking. And the kind of privacy that makes a group feel like they've left the world behind.
The main house is a rare Howard Madole-designed mid-century modern home — one of the most architecturally significant properties in Sedona. Madole, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, camped on this property for two weeks before designing it for his own family. His fingerprints are everywhere: the peak window that frames a star constellation at night, the kitchen window that catches desert light at dusk, the soaring beam-free ceiling that opens the space to the sky.
The casita tells its own story. Once a working pottery studio, the handmade tile in its soaking tub was made by the artist who lived here. Concrete floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, an industrial aesthetic that feels like a deliberate counterpoint to the organic warmth of the main house. Together, the two structures give a group every kind of space they might want.
How Groups Use This Property
The compound works beautifully for families traveling together — main house for one family, casita for another, shared outdoor spaces for everyone. It works equally well for celebrations, milestone birthdays, bachelorette groups, and small corporate retreats where a degree of separation between sleeping and gathering is part of the appeal.
The spatial logic is intuitive: the main house is for gathering — its open kitchen, eight-seat dining, and living room are built for a group. The casita offers its own complete world — living room, kitchenette, hot tub, and cold plunge — giving a couple or small group within the larger party genuine privacy without being far away.
