Town: A beautiful seaside village in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland, arguably one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Castlerock boasts great history as well as many claims to fame, including the Mussenden Temple that features in Game of Thrones as well as the place being the inspiration for many of C.S Lewis' novels including the famous The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. As well as some of the most photographed spots in Northern Ireland, Castlerock has a lot to offer in terms of amenities and activities. There is the Hill Farm Riding Centre, Finvoy Fun Farm, Castlerock Golf Course, and a beautiful sandy beach to provide something for all weathers and all people. The Royal Portrush Golf Club is in close proximity, not to mention the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Giant's Causeway is a short drive to the west. Belfast is only an hour away in the car. The village offers two coffee shops, home bakery, and a small supermarket as well as a butchers, chemist and beauty salon. The popular town of Coleraine is a short drive away and is definitely worth a visit with so much to offer, Portstewart and Portrush are also within easy reach should you want a more high-energy break. The county city of Londonderry is under 30 miles away and is one of the most exciting places in the country.
