We (2 couples) had a night in House of Gods hotel and we took the make me famous package(£***). It was great value with some lovely fun inclusions and the location makes it easy walking access to a lot of the city centre, including merchant city, with loads of restaurants and pubs around.
The hotel itself is very dark and moody with lots if plush fittings.
We had cocktails on the rooftop terrace before we went for dinner and drinks when we returned. Just make a note that the bar here closes at midnight week nights EVEN if your staying the hotel? We also had breakfast in the morning with which a mimosa is included in the make me famous package but unfortunately we forgot to ask for this and the waitress didnt ask, so that was dissapointing on both our ends, breakfast was lovely though and the rooftop was bathed in sunlight from a lovely blue sky.
A few minor points was that we had trouble with the room door which took a few visits to reception to sort but we did get the access lock reprogrammed and a new card to boot.
I always look forward to a good shower in most upmarket hotels and unfortunately the small ensuite although fabulously well done had a very leaky overhead shower head which blasted water against the tiled wall and very little onto me, just meant I needed a bit more time in the shower. The bed was really comfy and the rooms all have a mirror at the bottom of the bed which is actually the tv, great touch.
We all enjoyed our stay and with such a good price for a city centre stay in a plush comfy room I would recommend it and will return although I do want the shower to work properly.
My apologies to the hotel as I did forget to mention the leaking shower when checking out so fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly, it does make such a difference.

This hotel was fantastic. Full of ambiance. The only issue we had was the air conditioning went out on the entire floor our first night. We requested a different room for our second night and the staff was very accommodating and apologetic. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Experience is ok if you don’t mind not having what most would expect in a room like a kettle for refreshments there’s no price list for you to look at unless you look online I’m not technical so that is no good for me. The bathroom door handle was missing from one side when moved to another room it was loose with squint screws holding it . No him I. The room apart from in the bathroom where a shower cap would be handy since it’s a rain fall shower
