To be fair, Agoda is partly to blame for the awful stay we had. Despite being for one night, it was unbearable.
This place should not advertise itself as a hotel as it is a hostel with some private rooms. However there are some rooms without an ensuite bathroom. Despite choosing a room that didn't show as coming with a shared bathroom, when enquired from the hotel, it was apparently a room with no bathroom. The hotel should clearly state this in their listing without being ambiguous. The staff were helpful to change the room to one with an ensuite bathroom, but charged extra. At this rate, I could've booked a better hotel.
The stay was genuinely unpleasant. The location, though central, seemed sketchy. There were men drinking and smoking outside the hotel entrance, the area had closed up graffiti written buildings and generally felt unsafe. The rooms had leaflets advertising for hen/stag parties, which is probably the clientele their looking for.
The worst part was the noise from their nightclub, that was so loud we couldn't sleep till well past 4 am even with their provided earplugs. Mind you we stayed on a Wednesday! They should sound proof their club or the rooms or else just close down this hotel. The checkout time was super early at 10 am as well, we lost the next day of our vacation just to get some sleep. My advice to anyone booking this hotel, stay away unless you are booking specifically for a ruckus experience.
