Baskets of kiln-dried logs, kindling, firelighters and matches can be provided for 20 GBP per basket.

To the rear is a simple but well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, under-counter fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. From here, step into the generous private enclosed garden with a lawn and bench seating for six. Guests also have access to the garage, where you’ll find the washing machine.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, all prepared with crisp, hotel-quality bed linen. The main bedroom has an extra-long 7ft double bed, wardrobe, bedside furniture and chest of drawers. Bedroom two has a standard double bed with similar storage.

Bedroom three is a very compact and cosy room with a bunk bed. There is limited floor space and no additional furniture, but drawers and pull-out storage beneath the bunk provide some basic storage. It’s a snug and practical sleeping space, particularly suited to children or guests who are happy with a smaller room.

A modern bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the upstairs.
