Chestnut Lodge Bed & Go

No toilet in room

Very handy location. Easy check in with keypads. Very comfy bed. Vinyl flooring throughout and easy to wipe furniture so the place was very clean. Everything I needed for a short stay with tea/coffee making facilities and a shower room. There was also a microwave and small fridge if needed.

Property is located on a very busy road so traffic noise is to be expected.

Bed was comfy

Shower was quite small and despite being electric, couldn’t get the right temp, no where to put your wash bag/ toothbrush etc, could do with a shelf maybe….

Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I discovered that no bathing gel was provided and was informed by staff that this was not included. As a result, I had to leave the premises and purchase some from a nearby Aldi. In addition, there were long queues for both the toilet and bathroom facilities, resulting in considerable waiting times. To make matters worse, the staff appeared unhelpful and unfriendly. My wife and I were hurried to leave because we were a few minutes past the check-out time, despite the delay being largely due to the need to obtain bathing gel and the lengthy queues for the facilities. Overall, the experience was frustrating and did not meet the standard of service I expected.
