Westport Quayside apartment

Clean, tidy and very well located for exploring the Westport area and beyond.

Only one comment. The carpets on the hall floor were slippy. They would benefit from a non slip layer between the shiny floor and the carpet.

I loved everything! Apartment was in great location, modern, clean and had everything you needed! The property is kept very well! Nothing was a problem for our hosts!

We stayed in this apartment recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The apartment is located on the third floor of a large complex. It was clean, well-presented, and the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The location is about a 20-minute walk into town. We found taxis easy enough to get on the way back, usually costing between €10–€15. One downside is that there is little to no mobile phone coverage in the apartment. Wi-Fi is available, but this did make things like booking taxis a bit difficult at times. Vodafone seemed to work slightly better than Three. Unfortunately, our checkout experience was not positive. We had packed up, cleaned the apartment, and loaded the car, but decided to go for breakfast before returning the keys to the lockbox, as our car was parked in the space and we weren’t sure if we needed the fob to exit. The breakfast spot was very busy, so we didn’t leave until around 11:45. During that time, I had asked my cousin to message the owner to let them know we had left the apartment and everything was in order. However, due to the lack of phone signal, I later came back into coverage to find multiple missed calls and messages from the owner, who was quite abrupt and demanding that we move the car immediately. While we understand the importance of timely checkouts, the tone of communication felt unnecessarily harsh given the circumstances. Overall, the apartment itself is comfortable and well-kept, but the lack of phone coverage and the checkout interaction did impact our experience.

Apartment was spotless and homely. Location was right on the Quay and close to local amenities both at the Quayside and a quick 15 min walk/5 min drive into town. Sarah and Jack were very receptive and helped make our stay seamless. We would definitely stay again and will be telling our friends and family to book here. Beds were comfortable, living area felt like home and very safe.

The building/outside of the property is a little dated but don’t let that stop you as it truly is a hidden gem!
