Wow this gem of an apartment was amazing! We wanted somewhere memorable to celebrate our silver wedding and this hit the brief exactly! Practically on the Shambles in the city centre in amongst many of the eateries, pubs and bars. The apartment is spacious and gorgeous and so much fun. All the little touches to the decor really make it special - feels luxurious and cool, like your actually in New York not old York! Communication by the Hosts are great and the replies are quick. Everything is thought about and the info inside about the apartment is really useful and accurate.(also check the big metal cupboard - All kinds of useful food stuffs that might save you buying a one off item -ie vinegar or salt and pepper!) We only opened it on our last day and some things would have come in useful for when we ate in). Instructions to the property are good ( just need to note the outer door has been painted and is now grey not blue as in instructions) Other than this it was spot on. Pub over the alleyway putting the empties out in the morning may be annoying for some but didn’t bother us. Such an amazing place to relax in - I didn’t want to leave! Would definitely book again.

This place has the wow factor. Very quirky, lots of thought has been given to the interior design. Very clean throughout and extremely comfortable. Right in the centre of York with many bars and restaurants close by. Highly recommend staying at The Old Mill. The alleyway next to the apartment is a bit noisy at night time as it backs onto a pub and rear of a restaurant but wouldn't put me off staying here again.

A cosy property in the heart of York. The location is excellent with most places only a 10 minute walk away. The property was very clean and welcoming.
Checking in and checking out was simple with excellent communication provided before the stay.
