LIJ Stay Umeda North 3BedRooms

After staying in tiny hotel rooms, this was a welcome change. Lots of space and very clean. Great location for USJ. There was a lift for the luggage and the walk from the station was very level, it was easy to find with photos & map references provided, and its right on the corner. There was a large life supermarket nearby where we picked up milk, snacks and supplies. The kids room was huge in comparison to where we had been and they loved the nintendo switch - welcome change after lots of walking, they could veg out for a night. It was quiet and more residential than where we had stayed before and I enjoyed seeing a little more of "normal" Japanese life - kids walking to school, commuters on bikes, tradies having a smoke break it was nice.

Overall it was lovely but I would have liked to have had a few basics supplied (dried coffee, UHT milk paper towel etc for the kitchen). Luckily I brought my own - my mum taught me well (cleaning wipes, paper towel, a drying cloth, dried coffee, sugar sticks were already packed). There was a large washing machine but, there was no dryer. However there was a little rack to hang the small things on and a bar on the balcony to hang clothes on hangers (ours dried in a few hours in the sun). We had 5 people on our stay (3 adults, 1 teen, 1 preteen). One of the party were in their late 70's so the walk to the station was a solid 20mins when we all travelled together. (10-15 with less people) but it feels long after a big day like (USJ). Other than that it was a pleasant change from our other accommodation. It was also tricky with one set of keys but we managed by using the key drop box on days where everyone was going in different directions - so whoever got there first could get in.

La climatisation bruyante de la plus petite chambre, impossible de dormir avec. Chaleur supportable en laissant les portes ouvertes.

The location can't be any better. The apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood yet just minutes away from the Umeda Sky Building and the major transportation hub of Osaka Station. A good supermarket is literally around the block. The apartment is quite spacious and the wrap-around balcony is a welcome feature. The Nintendo Switch is a lovely bonus. WiFi speed is excellent. The host is exceptionally kind and helpful.

It was clean.

Wasn't close to the standard of other places we have stayed in the past 9days. The couch was the very uncomfortable, and bed pillows were tiny and scarce. Sheets on 1 bed were clean but stained. Location was meh. The decore was very sterile and everything felt like an afterthought, or a token effort at best. .
