This place is sooo lovely and we had such a memorable experience here. Will definitely recommend whole heartedly!

We could walk along the railway line into Ella. It was away from all the Touist areas

The property s studio apartment that is newly built & very clean & comfortable. It has a nice bathroom with sink, toilet & shower & the shower has hot water which was very welcome as previous budget accomodation did not. The room has a kettle, mugs & glasses & bottled water & teabags provided. The room has a lovely patio with table & chairs with a fabulous view & peace & tranquility. The owners cooked us a lovely meal for our dinner which they brought up to us on the patio & also served our breakfast which was inluded in the room price there. The cool mountain air was a pleasant relief from the heat & humidity of Colombo & lower places.

This accommodation is certainly not as described on Booking.com. It is not a house & does not have all the facilities listed, which is something it has in common with many other listings on their site. It does NOT have a kitchenette or WIFI, but is still fantastic & extremely good value so don't be put off from staying here! Also, a sign on the road would be helpful with the name of the accomodation. We found it a bit hard to find, you need to go up the drive that is signposted "Burning Mountain Chalet" & then turn right just past a set of blue metal gates. The path up is a bit steep & muddy with rocks but they have put steps in further up so don't let this put you off going to this beautiful place!
