Magic at the Mouth

We love it here - the view is something to experience. There’s so much to do around Nelson (we went walking and kayaking and fishing) but in the event of miserable weather, this accomodation (that feels like home instantly) is perfectly comfortable to still get amazing Nelson vibes. Perfect for a quiet afternoon reading, playing pool or watching a movie on a large TV. A great place for a refreshing getaway.

This place really is magic! The photos simply don’t do it justice. We came for a night to explore Nelson but it happened to be a very wet weekend. We don’t feel like we missed out one bit though, as this place was so lovely to sit and chill in and enjoy the views. Loved the views, the comfy lounge, the big windows and the pool table! I even loved doing the dishes as the view was so incredible. Very accomodating hosts who allowed an early check-in and a late check out. The benefits of travelling in a quiet time but not all hosts will do that.

This didn’t bother us as our child was 11 years old and could follow our instructions but a family with younger children may need to be mindful of the roofing materials lying around outside. Also, no working dishwasher but again, not an issue as we don’t have many dishes and the view doing them was pretty amazing (and our host did give us the heads up that it wasn’t working, so not a surprise.)

It was an absolutely beautiful house with a magnificent view. Very easy check in and out. Great communication with owners prior to check in.

The only thing I would have liked is a small carton of milk in the fridge 😊
