Moosedance 2 bedroom suite, beautiful views

I appreciated the view and the space for money--a good value, space wise.

Communication with the owner was somewhat delayed in responding to my questions. The toilet in my suite also did not work which could create a distressing situation for some--I was assured the inconvenience was temporary, but it was not addressed during my stay.

The view was nice, the area wasn't that far to drive into Anchorage.

I didn't like that the owner has 2 dogs and they jumped on me to the point where my back got scratched. The owner didn't try to hold the dogs back. Finally she said let me get a leash, I'm 5'6 the wilder dog jumped as high as my head. Every time we would come back after being away we were afraid the dogs would be at the door. Our first night my friend and I sat in her bedroom that had the TV, we were watching a movie, the volume was very low and we weren't talking loud. I heard some noise and proceeded to open the door and one of the dogs tried to get in . I immediately shut the door and then there was a knock, it was the owner. She told us we needed to be quiet it's quiet hours. It was 10:15, I think what happened is the dogs may have heard us and came up the stairs because the gate didn't latch properly. The dogs were the ones making the noise.She told us quiet hours are 10 pm -7 am well I guess it doesn't count when her dogs start barking at 5 am. So for the next 4 nights we tippy toed around the place. We were afraid to go into the kitchen in fear that the dogs would get to us. Also we only had 3 towels and one wash cloth for the 5 days and the towels had dog hair on them. I wouldn't stay again. I was there for the marathon and hotels were booked.
