We stayed at Hotel Senator in Ulcinj and were genuinely impressed from the moment we arrived. We had read a few mixed reviews beforehand and were slightly worried, but those concerns disappeared instantly. The hotel is extremely well maintained and far better than we expected.
The host, Fordi, deserves a special mention. He is incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly puts a lot of effort into keeping the property in great condition. He was super helpful throughout our stay and made everything feel easy and comfortable.
The location is perfect: just a 5 minute walk to the beach and around 15 minutes walk to the Old Town of Ulcinj. If you want to visit Long Beach, taxis are very affordable (no more than 10 euros). Our room was compact but beautifully designed, spotless, and had everything we needed. We also loved the balcony, which was a lovely spot to sit at night and enjoy the view.
One thing to keep in mind (though it wasn’t an issue for us): the hotel doesn’t have a lift, and Ulcinj is quite hilly. You’ll need to climb some stairs inside the hotel and also on the way to the beach. It’s just part of the geography of the area.
Now, the breakfast ...absolutely fantastic. Fresh, varied, and different every day. It was such a nice way to start each morning, and you can tell a lot of care goes into preparing it.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Senator to anyone visiting Ulcinj. It’s a great place with a great host, and it truly exceeded our expectations.

Fantastic apartment! Very clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and welcoming. The owner was always available and ready to help with anything we needed. We had an excellent experience and highly recommend this place!
Breathtaking sea views, a peaceful terrace, and a restaurant serving high-quality breakfasts with unique and delicious dishes. There is simply no chance you will be disappointed!
