Apartment Ioanneta - Vintage Gem, Metro & City Center

La ubicación, cerca del metro. El apartamento limpio y bien equipado, con detalle de bienvenida. La zona puede parecer un poco destartalada, pero no me pareció insegura. Abundantes enchufes

No es una queja, más bien una sugerencia. Quizás una mesa alta en la sala de estar con un par de sillas, para un desayuno o cena no estaría mal.

A mere 2 night stay here at the end of our Cyclades island hop, we always fly home from Athens and stay in varying locations around the city. Good instructions lead us straight to the key box and 2nd floor apartment. The lift is small but functional. An L shaped hall leads to a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge. It is decorated in the style of a simple bohemian farmhouse with a lot of quirky art pieces. There's a sister villa in Evia, which one imagines is also decorated the same. The bathroom has complimentary toiletries and plenty of towels. The bed is only a double but comfortable. (For snoring reasons I slept in the lounge on the comfortable couch.) The kitchen is a well equiped small space with complimentary condiments, water, olive oil and preserves. (Even a little tsiprou / ouzo.) There's filters and filter coffee for the coffee machine. Wi-Fi was strong and best accessed via the QR code. The large flatscreen TV has access to Netflix and other apps for personal sign in. AC was strong in both rooms but despite the very warm weather, the apartment remained cool so the AC wasn't required. You are 5 minutes walk from Metaxourghiou metro, with shops and cafes around Karaiskaki Plateia, (more a roundabout than a square.) The "Grigoris" European cafe chain, (green building,) has a branch on the corner for well priced pies, baguettes and very decent coffee. You are one metro stop, or 10 minutes walk from Athens main railway station. This probably explains why there is a cluster of international coach companies on this block heading for all of the Greek mainland and much of Albania too.

It's close to a main commuter road and a railway crossing so each time the barriers drop warning buzzers can be heard. We slept with earplugs so it did not bother us. The block has it's fair share of derelict properties but the price we paid was excellent.

Very easy check in, clean, and very kind owners.

There was construction occurring outside the bedroom which woke us up quite early, but this is temporary.

L'appartamento è arredato in stile vintage ma dispone di tutto il necessario per soggiornare senza il pensiero che manchi qualcosa; camere e bagno di ottime dimensioni; posizione comodissima perché a 200 mt dalla metro; quartiere in degrado ma assolutamente non pericoloso; il proprietario gentile e disponibile nel dare qualsiasi informazione per fare check-in e per come spostarsi in zona
