Overall, the apartment is very good. Spacious and clean. Excellent quality cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, and dishwasher. Good selection of cutlery, pans and plates etc, so if you want to have a night in. It is perfectly adequate for knocking up a delicious meal. Location is great. Easy walking distance from about everything you would need. Including the Astoria metro where you can get to anywhere in the city with ease. The air-con is good and much needed in the summer months. The owner has a nice and responsive, friendly attitude and was always available if we needed by WhatsApp. Plenty of towels available and some toiletries which is nice as often when renting you have to get your own. Decent pizza shop just below and ruin bars are 150 meters away. Couldn't really ask for a better location for food, history and fun. One thing to note which is not evident. The building has access from 4 locations which means you can get out onto the main road rather than Dohany st which is much easier for accessing the main shops and the Astoria underground. Considering this cost us just shy of £2k for our stay. I would say there is room for improvement. The bed’s, I think came from a VW camper they found in a field. Best thing is to donate them to the retro museum for their display. Last time I slept on a bed this bad was in the 80s. They endlessly squeak with the slightest movement and are ridiculously uncomfortable. My wife who can normally sleep on a brick was not impressed. That takes some doing as she puts up with me. Maybe the owner would consider changing them, for singles as well? I would think this would also lift the appeal of the apartment for families with children like we do. Both the showers were broken which I’ve fixed with cable ties. Both the shower doors leak covering the tiles in water which makes it slippery and dangerous. Also, the boiler needs fixing. I did not expect to have to spend an evening priming the hot water tank, so we had hot water. Nor fixing the internet connection which kept dropping for the duration of our stay. Not really sure about the plastic bike lock securing the external doors either. It looks like a Temu one and would not stop an angry chihuahua never mind a determined thief. That really needs looking at. There is also a lot of building work going on in this area. Including the apartment next door. On a side note, the Chinese guys building in there were lovely. Wished us good morning every day, one of those little things that’s just nice. As much as the building work did not really bother us it is worth noting as they do start banging and drilling from 6am across the road. Lastly, where is the coffee machine please?? in 20 yrs of renting apartments in Budapest. We have always had a Nespresso machine in the apartment. Probably will not bother 95% of visitors but I am a coffee snob and like my morning caffeine without a 4 story hike and 20 minute wait in the local coffee shop. Will definitely re book if you fix these bits and please do, overall this is a great apartment.

A casa está bem localizada, acessível as varios locais para ser visitado. Esta muito bem insonorizada.

A casa embora seja remodelada, está a precisar de manutenção. Os chuveiros não funcionam bem, as cabines não venda a agua para fora da cabine. A nível de limpeza é que não tem muito que melhorar. As toalhas não cheiram a lavado, as almofadas cheiram a sujo, os cortinados da casa apresentam manchas. A nivel das camas, não são nada confortáveis, rangem e quando a outra pessoa se mexe, mexem as duas.
